Today is #InternationalLiteracyDay. The number of illiterates is fortunately falling, but there are still hundreds of millions of people worldwide who cannot read or write. A large proportion of them lives in Africa. Two-thirds of them are women and girls. We are fighting against this. Not with empty words, with actions that are sustainable. In Sierra Leone (West Africa), where 70 percent of the population is illiterate, we have built three “Desert Flower Schools” for a total of 1200 children and distributed 10,000 Desert Flower educational boxes with reading and exercise books to schoolchildren. Please support our big educational campaign in Africa. Donate education to children! Love & Peace, Waris.
