On March 11 2020, Caritas Freetown with support from Desert Flower Foundation, TZU CHI Foundation and HEALEY International Relief Foundation distributed school and non-school items to pupils at St. Raphael’s Primary School Western Area Rural Waterloo. On arrival in the school compound, they were gladly welcomed by the Administration, Pupils, teaching and non- teaching staff of the St. Raphael’s Primary School Waterloo. The Executive Director of Caritas Freetown, Rev. Peter Konteh said that the distribution exercise is a pilot phase project implemented by Caritas Freetown, targeting Girls and pupils in deplorable conditions and attending schools located in the Western Area Rural and in disaster prone communities. He Further explained that, they are ready to support more schools with textbooks, bags, pencils, exercise books, erasers, Food, shoes, and other finances in line with other school charges especially for girls, with support from Waris Dirie, the founder of Desert Flower Foundation, TZU CHI Foundation and HEALEY International Relief Foundation etc.… Symbolic distribution of clothes, Waris Dirie books and bags for all the pupils of the school, and food stuff for the Kindergarten Children. A vote of thanks was given by the Head Mistress Mrs. Hannah Sannoh, on behalf of the school with a closing thank you message, of which the visitors left for their destination and the pupils and staff of the school for their respective homes.
